In September, I had a chance to go to Switzerland. I took the Bernina Express panoramic train from Tirano, Italy to Chur and then on to Lucerne and Geneva. I happened to be in Montreux on Freddie Mercury’s 70th birthday, when people came from all over to pay tribute and celebrate the music icon.

Kapellbrücke (chapel bridge) in Lucerne
This is the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe. Originally built in 1333, it almost burned down in 1993 and most of its interior paintings were destroyed.
