An imposing monument built in honor of Victor Emmanuel, the first king of a unified Italy. It was inaugurated in 1911 and completed in 1925. It is 135 meters wide and 70 meters high, carved entirely of white marble. The centerpiece is a bronze equestrian sculpture of Victor Emmanuel and two chariots driven by the goddess Victoria mark the top.
