A former Roman temple, now a church. It was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). The current building was likely completed around 126 AD. It has been in continuous use since it’s construction and was turned into a church dedicated to “St. Mary and the Martyrs” in the 7th century.
